Walk The Walk- But not alone!

Chronic illness has a bad habit of forcing us into periods of complete isolation, which is actually the worst thing we can do for our health. Emotional stress and mental anguish is a huge trigger for our overall well-being, and the feeling of being alone can certainly impact us in a very profound way.

Having the support of your friends, family, and/or a therapist is always comforting. However, I highly encourage you to reach out to others, whether it is an online forum or a support group, living under similar challenging circumstances. The people we love the most can’t always relate to or understand our situation, which can be quite frustrating and depressing. Seeking guidance and a shoulder to lean on from like-minded women can eliminate loneliness and help enhance our day-to-day lives in ways not many can.

My suggestion, once you’re ready to take it a step further, work on a plan to adopt a lifestyle with more joy and energy. There are many ways to go about doing this, and I would be more than happy to be your “unwavering cheerleader” every step of the way!

Often we focus so much on the goal of healing, we forget to LIVE life while we try to get there.

In both my personal life and my professional life as a business consultant, I am well known for being a steadfast support and an ultra-positive life force. I am a woman who believe in love and intimate connections, I believe that "together we can", and I believe that humor, laughter, connecting and sharing can lead us to a much more meaningful, happy and healthy place.  I am always determined to find solutions, and I will walk the extra mile (or more!) for the people I am committed to. And while I always see the glass as half full,  I have also learned to respect the power of facing the truth and reality of health limitations, temporary or otherwise.

With close to 30 years of experience living with my own debilitating, unpredictable autoimmune diseases, I feel comfortable saying I have an entire world of knowledge and experience to share, and a solid understanding and genuine empathy for what you’re going through.

You are not alone!
