Today is a recoup day and out comes the list of my favorite DIY perks for recoup days. I have gone through my kitchen cabinets looking for herbs, oils and salt as well as gone through my beloved aroma-therapeutic oil supplies to see what enticing fragrances I currently own. And now that I know what I have to work with, I make sure there is enough zest in me for the next 5 min to complete the spa treatment perk. In other words nap before or after the bath.
Today I have ingredients to make a fabulous bath salt with lavender, coconut oil and Himalaya Pink salt. You will always find Himalayan salt in my kitchen as it is an amazing source of minerals for cooking. However, If you don't have Himalayan salt, feel free to use Epson Salt instead. I have also added a splash of natural lavender flowers and coconut flakes for show (nothing new there).
This is such a delicious mix with such an amazing aroma.

In a bowl mix the following:
- 1 cup Himalayan Pink Salt to soothe tired muscles and reduce inflammation
- Melt about 1/4 cup of coconut oil to soften water and soothe your skin
- Add a few drops of Lavender aroma-therapeutic oil
Do note that the coconut flakes and lavender flowers will not dissolve in the water. You might want to keep that in mind for the amount you splash into the mix.
